How To Keep Mosquitoes Away

Mosquitoes can carry diseases when they bite you. So it's vital to find ways to keep them away from you.

If you camp out in your backyard or have parties outside, you can either plant or even carry pots of herbs and flowers along with you when camping,etc. I know it might sound silly but it really works.

Rosemary- This herb contains aromatic essential oils that these

pesky quitters detest. 

Lavender- This aromatic herb is a member of the mint family.

Basil- You can put basil pots on your backyard tables. There are certain types of basil that works best as a mosquito deterrent. Cinnamon basil, Lemon basil and Peruvian basil are the better varieties. 

Mosquito Incense- You can use incense that have citronella,eucalyptus,and even cloves as a main ingredient. Mosquitoes, and even humans can get in distress when inhaling smoke.

Coffee Grounds- If you drink a lot of coffee,by no means let this go to waste. Place used coffee grounds around standing water, if the water is hard to get rid of. For the most part, you should eliminate standing water period. If you do have standing water on your property, make sure you have fish in the pond, etc to reduce the mosquito population on your property.

You can even place a couple of  oscillating fans on your patio to blow mosquitoes away. Placing birdhouses in your backyard can reduce mosquitoes from biting you as well. These tips will help you to keep these

disease carriers from biting you.
